Huckleberry hotel

The Huckleberry Hotel is a mix of old-world charm and playful modern sophistication. Based in Troutdale, Oregon, the Hotel boasts a Michelin-star-rated restaurant and bar featuring signature cocktails crafted with house-made huckleberry syrups. Surrounded by fields of huckleberries, guests are encouraged to pick their own or indulge in one of the many staff-led activities the Hotel offers.

Rather than a single logo for the Hotel's identity, we opted for a system of icons and wordmarks that can be utilized in various applications. Coupled with the Brand's colour palette, which mimics the huckleberry plant from adolescence to maturity, this pair of flexible brand elements allows for more fluid storytelling.

The KEY TO A BERRY GOOD VACATION

The charm of an antique skeleton key is quite appealing as a designer and a tempting choice when it comes to room keys. However, it didn't seem very practical in today's world. Instead, we opted for a programmable key card that features the Hotel's key icon. Beautiful and practical. To add to the playful printables, we included a reversible door hanger. The sheep illustration plays on their bushy coats with the addition of huckleberries.

ThIS ROUND’S ON US

Now, what's a hotel without a bar? Not a very good one. The scalloped edges of the drinks menu playfully nod to huckleberry bushes, while the underlying graphics further this resemblance. That same style of graphics is used on the food menu to create a cohesive look while maintaining the necessary legibility of the text. The embossed brass clipboard anchors these colourful menus and adds a luxurious touch to the dining experience.
